Well, it’s been a slow year. I’ve only been to one car show this year, my favorite, the 2009 Concorso Italiano. Check out the pics.

Concorso Italiano 2008 Pics Are Up!

I finally posted the Concorso pics from this year. Show was good as always but not quite as good as usual. They moved the show from the golf course to an airport. I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, they always put on a good show. They’ll do something to make it more than a bunch of cars parked on pavement. They didn’t. It was a bunch of cars parked on pavement. That isn’t too bad, all the exotic cars make up for it. But what really pissed me off was most of the cars left early. I think we paid $170 for tickets, plus airfare to go to see those cars and they friggin left early! I assume they left because it was cold and windy but that’s still pretty rude.

The one advantage to everyone leaving early is I was able to get some better pictures with fewer people around. I have a real hard time getting good pictures because as soon as I have a clear shot and am about to take the picture someone walks up and sticks their head in the window.

Welcome to AutoShowPics.com

This site is my attempt to merge two hobbies. Cars and photography. I enjoy going to various car shows and taking pictures. I post them here so the rest of the worlds can enjoy them as well. I started doing this in 2000 with a cheap film camera. I’d scan in the images and post them online. That’s where it started. Then it progressed to a digital “Point and Shoot” camera and eventually to my current camera, a Nikon D70s Digital SLR. I’m by no means a pro, but I enjoy it.

Eventually I will open up the site for others to share their own car show pictures. Until I get that set up if you are interested in posting your pictures here, contact me.
